Strengthening the Operations Department: Now Offering Closer Follow-Up

With recent employee additions, our operations department has grown stronger. Simultaneously, we added a brand-new OPS room where a dedicated team works enthusiastically with everything from commissioning to technical support. We call it proactive operation.

Proactive operation is all about being at the forefront of challenges and averting future issues. In line with the fact that the past year has seen a significant growth in the number of measurement points, the need for proactive operation has increased.

— With the implementation of proactive operation, our customers get an even better point of contact. An entire team is gathered in the OPS room, waiting to receive calls and messages arriving as operational messages in SafeMon, says Jan Ødegård, founder and co-owner of SafeBase.

Facilitating Customer Service

Previously, Ødegård was responsible for daily follow-up of customers. He is overly excited about the new OPS room, which is equipped with large screens mirroring customers’ infrastructure in real-time.

— Our customers own critical infrastructure in several countries, which needs to be operated in a proactive manner. It is our responsibility to make sure that they get immediate help if something happens, and that their services are working at all times.

Strengthening the Team with Additional Employees

During the last few months, the operations department has been strengthened with three new employees: Operating engineers Patrik Petersen and Batuhan Titrek, and operating technician Brage Solberg. With backgrounds from cyber security and computer electronics, they are ideal additions to the team.

— I got several job offers after completing my studies, but SafeBase seemed like the most exciting workplace among them. I quickly discovered that Safebase was an employer wanting to develop us young technicians. So far, everyone has been cheering me on, helping us develop our skillsets. We are regularly given challenges, which our more experienced colleagues assist us in mastering, explains Patrik Petersen.
