SafeBase Nominated for “EY Entrepreneur of the Year” Norway

SafeBase, led by Lars Erik Gjervan and Jan Ødegård, has been nominated for Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.

The title is awarded to an industry leader or an industry player who contributes with ideas, effort, and capital to create lasting value and job opportunities. Both the finalists and the final winner are selected by an independent jury.

The World’s Largest Entrepreneurial Program

“EY Entrepreneur of the Year” is the world’s largest program recognizing entrepreneurial achievement among individuals and companies. This year ceremony will be the 22nd time it has been organized in Norway – and the 37th year internationally.

– The nomination is a wonderful recognition of our employees’ collected effort and willingness to succeed, says Safebase CEO Lars Erik Gjervan.

Fierce Competition and Demanding Criteria

Safebase competes against 36 other businesses from across Norway. During November, a winner will be chosen from each region.

The regional winners will participate in the final ceremony in February 2024.

On their website, EY describes the candidates for this year’s award as skillful in thinking outside the box, spotting opportunities and creating lasting job positions. The nominees represent a number of industries, from technology to the catering industry, the fishing industry and helicopter operations.

– We consider this nomination as a seal of approval for a job well done, says Gjervan.

We would like to thank the jury for the nomination and look forward to the ceremony in Central Norway, which will take place on November 23rd in the city of Trondheim.
